The Online Maths Tutor

Updated: Mar 3, 2022

Welcome to My Maths Blog

The place for all things Maths; from interesting facts to revision tips.

My name is Hannah and I have a passion for maths. Having rediscovered my love for the subject during the Covid-19 pandemic, I am currently studying for my Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics.

Maths is such a fascinating subject; simplicity and complexity intricately woven together. It has many faces and so many crossovers with other academic areas, from the obvious, sciences, to the less obvious, philosophy.

In this blog I will be writing about what, for me, makes maths such a captivating subject. I will include fun and interesting facts of its broader application in the world.

Also, I will be giving tips and tricks to help students in their mathematical study such as; revision tips, exam techniques, number exercises, learning strategies and much more!

Misunderstood Maths

Often maths can be swept aside by students as a difficult and pointless subject. But, maths is so much more than complicated looking numbers and random letters. I believe there are so many benefits from mathematical study, the discipline and concentration of good academic work in itself is a great skill. There is a reason that almost all employers will ask for a minimum grade C (or equivalent) in GCSE mathematics.

In this blog I hope to show the diverse skills maths can provide and give students the confidence to approach difficult topics in new ways to enhance their learning and understanding.
